The Packers have released 28-year old inside linebacker Desmond Bishop. Bishop missed all of last year due to injury. Bishop played in 13 games for the Packers in 2011 and he had 115 tackles, 5 sacks, 5 tackles for a loss, 2 forced fumbles and 1 pass defensed. He played in 69 games in his five years with the Packers and he had 292 tackles, 9 sacks, 8 tackles for a loss, 1 interception (he returned it for a TD), 9 passed defensed and 8 forced fumbles. The Packers are going to miss Bishop as he was a playmaker for them. They just couldn’t agree on a salary. Bishop will have little problem finding a new job.
